FULLERTON – Authorities continue to investigate a hit-and-run vehicle accident that left a pedestrian dead after she was struck by at least one vehicle Tuesday night.
The woman in her 60’s, who has not been identified, was struck at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Beckman Drive shortly after 10 p.m., Fullerton police Sgt. Kathryn Hamel said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle accident.
The vehicle was traveling northbound on Harbor when the woman was struck as she was walking westbound, Hamel said.
The driver stopped and was interviewed by investigators at the scene, Hamel said, adding that alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
“We are looking into whether she was struck by more than one vehicle,” Hamel said.
Police closed northbound Harbor between Imperial Highway and Lambert Road until 6 a.m. Wednesday while investigators talked to witnesses and went over the scene.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Fullerton police at 714-738-6813.
